He fell into a volcano. You don't have to hunt for him.
Sir Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood will reunite as Gandalf and Frodo in ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM’

It's extremely funny to think that Wes Streeting will save Scottish Labour from being destroyed in the Holyrood election.
"SCOTTISH Labour MPS are privately calling for Wes Streeting to stand against Sir Keir Starmer before May to avoid a wipeout in the Holyrood election, The Telegraph can reveal.

"The Health Secretary’s allies are pushing for a “Wes coronation” to give Labour new energy in Scotland..."

A bit of serendipity this morning - didn’t feel safe going out in the car so went to the canal instead and saw this. My comedy moment for the year 🦢🤪

Matt was good all year, I'm just one of St. Nick's faithful helpers. When I found out you can get a cloth dipped in Santa Clause's holy bone juice I knew who had to have it.
If you follow @themagnificast.bsky.social , you'll know @deandettloff.bsky.social and I are really into catholic weirdness and relics.

So for Christmas, he sent me this little bit of cloth that was dipped in the water that collects on St. Nicolas' bones.

The wildest Christmas gift.

"the US will run Venezuela" is a wild thing to think. You've got communes, a military, militias, and paramilitaries to contend with.
The US will run Venezuela, Trump said, 'until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,' signaling an open-ended US role reut.rs/3Ne4l3T

This is actually insane. It should not be "welcome news" to you that the most psychotic president in history, and your official opposition, kidnapped a head of state.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

The unprovoked and deadly invasion of another country while its citizens sleep should appal all of us.

The fact that Venezuela has some of the world’s largest oil reserves makes this feel very familiar.

Folks, under no circumstances do you have to justify what the US is doing in Venezuela.
January 3, 2026 at 11:34 AM
Kind of wild to call for restraint when the US just kidnapped Maduro.
I have spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and our Ambassador in Caracas. The EU is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela.

The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition. (1/2)

I was absolutely garbage at school and tests until I started studying philosophy. It really did something for me to know that I could be annoying in a whole new way.

Abolish the SATs and the GRE.
I know a lot of brilliant faculty who got terrible grades in high school and only discovered an academic aptitude once they were studying something they cared about.
Like, not even GRE scores. SAT scores.
