Oh god no- a wonderful and exceptional actor with fantastic range- tremendously likable in HIGH AND LOW, sly and devastating in HARAKIRI, possessed and demonic in SWORD OF DOOM and entertainingly outfoxed in SANJURO. A giant

I’m reading LOTR to the little guy and the other night we got to part where Pippin offers service to Denethor and I said “Pippin’s got a new job working for the Lord of the city!” and little guy was all “that’ll be an easy job- just gonna be like a two day job” 💀💀💀💀

I really do love Costco. Tiny quibble: the in house hot dogs are inferior to the previous Best/Hebrew National (price is amazing still). And I wish they had Tri-Tip on East Coast like they do on West Coast

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

The ChatGPT suicide hotline is a hotline that talks you into committing suicide. Doesn't seem like a service that should be legal.
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

Same - solutions?
Several of our students have run into an issue where their "official transcript" is password protected/encrypted which prevents them from being able to upload. If they un-encrypt the document, it removes the "official transcript" watermark.

Complete Catch-22 here, does anyone have a work around?
Warning. ⚠️ If you are writing an NSF GRFP, new this year, you need official transcripts to apply. Beware. They will not review applications without official transcripts. ‼️

Justice Jackson's dissent focuses on her belief that the government has failed to show any harm it suffers as a result of the policy being blocked, while the plaintiffs can show harm if it is in effect.

What this order makes clear is that plaintiffs can collect a mountain of animus, the district court can write extensively about the record, and the Supreme Court will just go “nuh uh.”
BREAKING: The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to enforce its anti-trans and anti-nonbinary passport policy during litigation.

The unsigned, four-paragraph order effectively reverses two lower-court decisions. The Democratic appointees dissent.
