The opposite of whatever a bon vivant is. First person in Britain to eat a Toblerone. Officially the third best Visionaries fan. Probably joking but who knows.

People are probably calling Labour racist because Labour keep being racist. If they want to stop being called racist they should stop doing racist things.

Green MP Carla Denyer accuses Shabana Mahmood of trying to "out Reform Reform" and says "toxic racist narratives and the scapegoating of migrants" are to blame for "tearing our country apart" not migrants.

Mahmood: "I couldn't care less what any other political party has to say about these matters"

Antisemitism is a lot like Qanon child abuse conspiracies in that there’s this real and bad phenomenon and, parallel to that, what can only be described as a large scale mass psychosis about a mostly fictional version of the same phenomenon

Great, more artificial sweeteners pumped into things in lieu of sugar.
I (unknowingly) had a “chocolate flavour milk drink” with aspartame and ace K in it last year and a) it tasted awful and b) I had a splitting migraine for a day after. Can’t wait to get that from every other millshake going!

Firefox helpfully let me know that my Facebook password is older than a data breach that occured and that I should change it. Nice little feature.
Went to Facebook (eugh) to change it and was presented with this:
Same PC I always use.

Once again, anyone who was paying attention to what was actually said by Starmer and his front bench while they were in opposition could (and did!) easily imagine this.
Their issue with the Rwanda scheme was never the inhumanity, just the cost.
“on article 8 of the ECHR in particular the right to family life ..we want to constrain in legislation the way that that is applied in immigration cases” Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood tells Sky’s Trevor Philips

Who would have imagined we would ever hear this from a Labour government

Started on Hitman 3. “Oh, I’ll just have a quick go on Sapienza, nothing big.” Two hours later, I’m still in the church, fruitlessly looking for the scientist with the dongle to take back to the secret lab.

Bill Oakley shared this sad news on Twitter, hadn’t seen it here yet: Dan McGrath has passed away.

A fantastic writer for SNL, Simpsons, Mission Hill (he wrote many fan’s favorite episode), King of the Hill, The PJs, and Gravity Falls. Any comedy nerd of the last 40 years knows so much of his work

Man, those early, slightly off-brand, UK covers for Goosebumps books were great.
There were embossed for the texture in the slime and the logo.

We are phasing out the terms “extant” and “extinct” from our exhibits and will now refer to species as either “Darwinners" or “Darlosers.”

This is a legitimately good idea. Studies show that heavy metal fans tend to be the least angry people. Presumably because their brains experience anger a lot, but in safe, controlled, voluntary ways, so they have a lot more practice dealing with it, but fewer upsetting incidents that triggered it.

I really respect how much American corporations are committed to killing their customers unless absolutely forced not to.
Congress’s shutdown deal eliminated key food safety rules, blocking agencies from enforcing measures to prevent contamination and trace outbreaks. This rollback has coincided with a surge in hospitalizations and deaths from foodborne illnesses.
Shutdown Deal Kills Rules to Prevent Food Contamination and Foodborne Illnesses
The gutting of these rules coincides with a huge increase in hospitalizations and deaths from foodborne illnesses.
