This is so true. One guy who was a colleague and friend started posting A.I. slop, and sharing other AI videos with me on FB messenger. We used to play lots of gigs together, but he got really old, really fast after moving out of the city, and I had to block him. (B4 quitting FB altogether)
The really bleak part is when it's older people you respected or even looked up to. Many such cases.
I've deleted most of my FB info, just kept my account alive to use site for work. So depressing watching people I friended, for whatever reason over the years, share idiotic AI slop. A big neon sign screaming "DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS PERSON."

UBI is the cheapest, best, most effective social program that we know of. We live in the future where computers and robots do the work for us, so we should be reaping the rewards.
(government minister reading a report on the thousandth clinical drug trial of a pill that eliminates poverty, with a 100% success rate, that generates 10 times the value it costs to produce & makes government ministers public heroes) I don't understand, so the poor are made to suffer how, exactly?
There has literally never been a universal basic income trial program that didn't deliver real and measurable results above and beyond any other form of social welfare, and every time another concludes with the same findings the powers that be go "interesting! Anyway," and pretend it wouldn't work.
