Charles Atlas - To The Dust: From Man You Came and To Man You Shall Return

nice little album of early 2000s fragile ambient sounds... did a little deep dive, didn't realize Erik Kowalski (casino vesus japan) was an early member

Can't help but feel like the first waiver run of #SFB15 this season is a little lackluster... seems like the lack of any special scoring wrinkle + positionless rosters has made for a lot less urgency or speculation.

i'll take this brief moment to remind people that in an overwhelming tide of pop culture, Halt and Catch Fire still stands out as one of the best pieces of media to be created so far this century.
Can folks do me a favor?

I was on Bluesky early & it was great. Mostly. I hit the eject button in January.

I came back, many colleagues are here, but still don’t know I am.

I co-created Halt and Catch Fire. I write TV & comics.

Here’s two favorite set photos.

Repost? I am in the wilderness.

I love to show up every day for my job, which is standing around holding the front of my tactical vest and getting told to choke to death by thousands of passers-by while 11 of my coworkers handcuff a roofer on his way to work. Every night I drive 80 minutes home, thinking about nothing at all.

Unfortunately, that's the point -- they know they can't actually get rid of *all* the people they don't want to interact with. But they can sure as hell make it nearly impossible to exist in public, whether through fear (like our immigrant population), or through demolishing basic societal structure

My final #SFB15 squad... and a glimpse at my likely flawed reasoning.

TE: If I couldn't land McBride/Bowers/Kittle I wasn't reaching. Kittle was there in the 4th but give me the mystery box with Hunter. No breakout potential? Not interested -- Engram's got 90+ reception upside so I'll take the risk

This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.
Vice-President JD Vance confirms he has joined BlueSky.
