Re-Watching Slither (2006)!

Whenever someone finds a disgusting pulsating object in the woods, their first instinct is to touch it, or at the very least to poke it with a sharp stick! I don't know if it is in our nature, but we are kind of drawn to the gross & disgusting, which explains reality TV.

My child's birthday is today, and I realized I am just a ghost in flesh.

There is nothing worse than realizing that a c-section is the only reason you are still alive.

🙃 Happy birthday 🎂 I would still die for you, my little monkey.

If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.

I am choosing to trademark the internet title Plain Clothes Goth. We are among you, every bit as morbid and creepy as the average Vampire: The Masquerade gamer who listens to Sisters of Mercy while knowing Edgar Allan Poe by heart. You just can't tell at first sight. @davidniallwilson.com

Writing isn't about writing well, it's about writing something. How well you write is always a distant secondary issue. Improving your writing is automatic. The recipe is putting down millions of words plus time. You will improve regardless. The speed is up to you.

So many years of authors saying “please do not steal our work” and being relentlessly screamed at and harassed by “piracy advocates”, then techbros scraping the massive theft for their ecology-wrecking plagiarism machines, and now finding out tradpubs didn’t bother with even registering most works.

So, I spelled "ebbs" (ebes)-wrong, and spell check insisted that I meant "Bees"

I literally used the term "ebbs and flows". I don't think Bees and flows is a thing.

I did soooooo much writing yesterday, but today I can't get a teen minuet respite to even think. I'm definitely getting 3-5 minuets in between interruptions; just enough to be annoying.

I think it's a good "writer" thing to be apprehensive about how others will see your work.

And are we ever really good enough?

There are so many people and opinions in this world. The best thing any writer can do is learn to take criticism and learn from it.
The person who edits my writing is a close friend, but still I get nervous every single time before sending him articles. And, he's the nicest person ever.

Is this a writer thing? Do you ever get comfortable with your own writing being good enough?
