Time and time again translators are pointing out how machine translation produces terrible quality work, but it's normally the translators who are forced to make it somewhat readable for pennies, while middle men pocket the profits.
"'We would like to inform you that we have changed our processes, and now all project requests sent to you will be post-editing. This is our post-editing rate.' Take it or leave it, basically."

Not sure what to think about this announcement by #memoQ. I prefer to have my texts, TMs, and term bases on my own computer, not on a web-based platform (that could be used to feed MT tools). And I prefer not be dependent on an internet connection or on browsers that may not always be compatible.

If there are multiple instances of the same word, it counts as "repetition", so every time you translate that word differently, you're not paid for it.
