USIP owns their building. DOGE is vandalizing a building the federal government DOES NOT OWN.
After breaking into the US Institute of Peace (USIP) Monday, DOGE members immediately got to work taking down signs to erase the independent agency.

Photos taken yesterday shared directly with me:

Most people don't know what's really going on, how it's impacting their lives right now, choose not to know, or think they can't do anything about it. All are misapprehensions of the truth.

in what meaningful way can we say that the constitution is in effect when an unelected and unaccountable billionaire is wielding state power to unilaterally cancel congressional appropriations?
Hearing that DOGE went into the Dept of Education today and shut down almost the entirety of the department's in-house research arm, Institute of Educational Sciences, cancelling contracts totally about $900m.

They are going to ignore court orders.

If they ignore court orders, the social contract is dead and buried, the constitution is no longer in effect.

It's a rubicon that cannot be uncrossed.

If you’re reading this, you paid more taxes than Tesla.

It made $2.3 billion last year.

Does that seem fair to you?

Wanting our tax dollars to go towards every American having housing, healthcare, and food instead of bombs is not a “fringe” position.

It’s humane.

What’s “fringe” is buying bombs while Americans sleep on the streets and go bankrupt because they get cancer.

The ordinary questions you might ask: Is Elon Musk a government employee? Are his lieutenants? Does he personally hold a security clearance and do his “lieutenants”? Have they all undergone a background check? Are they subject to foreign influence? Have they ever done a sieg heil on stage?
As long as this Elon Musk person isn’t known for blowing things up, we’re probably fine.

in retrospect it is pretty incredible that the media pressed donald trump, a man known for lying, about his obvious connection to project 2025 a single time. he said “nope :)” and the mainstream media collectively accepted that as truth. what a useless bunch of losers

It would be fantastic if major federal institutions would acknowledge that the executive branch cannot legally unilaterally cancel or redistribute congressionally appropriated funding on ideological grounds and thus they have no legal obligation to comply with such directives
