You have to be ready for the unthinkable. The stuff that "surely nobody would -?"

Because they will.

I put in a freedom of information request for her register of interests, which would reveal if she owns OpenAI shares. The government refused to share it, claiming it contains ‘personal information’.

For context, the PM’s previous AI Adviser’s register of interests *was* published.

Jade Leung worked for OpenAI from 2021 to 2023. You would expect her to have shares, worth a lot of money - which will get more valuable if OpenAI remains only lightly regulated.

Now she is the Prime Minister’s AI Adviser in No 10 - advising on AI regulation.

There’s a good chance the British Prime Minister’s main adviser on AI is an OpenAI shareholder - but the government refuses to say whether she is.

One day the Tom Hollander episode of Bedtime Stories will be back on iPlayer and we can all marvel at him reading Chicken Licken because it was non-ironically *amazing* he goes in like it's Shakespeare, no holds barred, 100% commitment.

In 1996 I did a little in internship at BBC Westminster. At the time, Robbie Gibb was one of the producers there. Even in that period, he was self evidently a pro-Tory apparatchik, who made no attempt to hide his agenda from his colleagues or even from the little work experience kid.

My goodness. If you are interested in the ongoing implosion of #YourParty, you REALLY need to read this full statement by Driscoll.

"The role of holding donations was thrust upon us. The company we are responsible for has repeatedly been used without our agreement."

I think we all know this is precisely what will happen.

Remember the next year or two of programming has already been made or is already well in the pipeline. So you won't see minorities & LGBTQ+ disappearing & being replaced by hate rhetoric from the BBC's entertainment side until about year 2-3.
At this point what worries me most is that they put somebody further right in charge of it, and the entertainment half of the BBC goes down the same stealth far right toilet that the current affairs half is already in.

I'd rather it just died. Because it's doing so much harm. It gave us Farage.

Yes, if people phone their bank to cancel it counts as an "unauthorised charge". Your Party was advising people to cancel this way because of the membership portal fiasco. The liabilities could be in the 10s of thousands. And that's before ICO/ GDPR fines.

This article seems extremely dodgy to me. I read a quite good explanation of the liabilities and issues tied to transferring them money which no on we is legally responsible for somewhere yesterday but can't found it now. One issue is refunding the money could cost vast amounts in charges!

I came across a clip from yesterday from LBC of John Sopel and Emily Maitlis talking to Shelagh Fogarty about what's happening at the BBC and they all conceded the complainant DID have a point about the BBC's pro-trans bias and it was just three people being transphobic for a couple of minutes.

In the last decade, the BBC has legitimised climate change denialism, paved the way for Brexit, defended the coup that was prorogation, over-platformed Farage's Far Right projects, and is neutral on our abandonment of human rights norms.

What is this 'good' it supposedly does?

If you have been selected for conference by sortition -

Do not book trains

Do not book hotels

Do not spend your own money until conference is confirmed - by the VENUE, NOT YP

You stand to lose significant amounts of money.
How do you plan to run a conference at the Liverpool Arena (still not showing on the Liverpool ACC website btw) with no money, you fools?

This, inter alia, is why the BBC needs to go.

"I'm so proud I harmed those kids and that some have committed suicide," basically.
