Pam Bondi better be in prison and fined into penury when this is all over.

Law license? Can we PLEASE start talking about real consequences for elite lawlessness and attacks on the American republic?
Pam Bondi will not have a license to practice law when this is all over. You can’t stay a bar member and agree to investigate only members of one political party for child sexual abuse but not members of the other. And, you can’t do it after previously saying no one else could be charged.

So on Epstein, the Democratic position should be "Trump should resign." If you are a Democratic elected, practice saying "We demand the president's resignation" in front of a mirror as many times as it takes until the dry-heaving that comes from having a phobia about actually doing politics passes.

People really need to stop framing it is a question of getting more evidence. I mean, sure, that too. But we know. We all know. The president of the United States raped children. Say that. When they get mad at you for saying it, say it again and treat them like an idiot for pretending they doubt it.

America is in a fight for its very survival. And the leaders of the Democratic Party in the US Senate are just not up to the challenge. Time to turn the page on them. With prejudice.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

A coalition that ranges from democratic socialists to neoconservatives, including a lot of energized liberals in between, is large and formidable.

A big pro-democracy tent. A united front. Any internal disagreements can be hashed out once the authoritarian emergency is over.

This really can work.

Republicans think denying food to poor people is a smart strategy because Democrats care more about the poor than Republicans do. Consider what that says about Republicans.

The president of the United States posted a video of him defecating on the American people. Many in my profession normalized it. This is a big reason why we are where we are.

It really can't be said enough: the goal of the "anti-woke" movement was always to destroy social norms against bigotry. And it worked. And there's a whole lot of purportedly "left" thinkers & commentators who helped it -- indeed, it couldn't have been done without them.

They should feel bad.

Donald Trump is breaching the Constitution and breaking the law.

A show of force so he can militarize our cities because of the 2026 elections.

We need to stand up together and speak up.

What Pritzker's saying and doing isn't some particularly nuanced one neat trick kind of strategy. Most of it's fairly obvious. He's just the only one using the real constitutional crisis playbook against a consolidating authoritarian regime, meanwhile most other Dems aren't even on the right field.

This is the biggest attack on free speech since the McCarthy era but it also has significantly less popular consensus behind it than the second Red Scare. It's being done on behalf of a minority faction led by the most unpopular president in modern history. Organizing against this can win.

The federal statute of limitations for bribery is five years. Is it worth doing a few years in Club Fed to ensure shareholder value? I doubt Bob Iger and Brian Robbins think so, but they are seriously underestimating the chances that this becomes a vote winner for a new breed of Dem politicians.
