The Dodgers have won the NL West so many times in the past 12 years it's just a handshake line when they do it now.

As someone who grew up watching this team suck ass in the 90s during my formative years this will never not be wild!

I never teach my students to think of themselves as victims, and don’t know anyone who does. Someone probably does somewhere, but prevailing culture it is not.

But what really stands out is hearing this from a political movement whose incessant overriding message to supporters is “you’re a victim.”
"The problem with 🇺🇸 higher ed is that it is brainwashing students into a culture of victimhood & that federal research grants are an unchecked situation" is the sort of thing you can only write, in 2025, if you are a lying charlatan or you've never stepped foot on an actual college campus in years.

Sedation dentistry is no longer weird. Phone cameras are really good. The price of solar panels has dropped by tens of thousands. Southern white rhinos, giant pandas, Arabian oryx and Stellar sea lions are no longer endangered.

And, I can testify, modern cancer treatments are fucking amazing.
Please give me an unironic list of things that have gotten better over the last ten years because I’m spiraling.

I’ll start: you can buy an enormous TV from Costco for like $100 bucks now.

The plaintiff, identified only as “KS,” had been granted deferral of removal to The Gambia under the Convention Against Torture on the basis of his sexuality.

Now, having been sent back to The Gambia, he is “hiding for fear of his life,” per complaint.

New suit accuses DHS of using Ghana as an intermediary to send migrants back to their countries of origin, despite orders barring such removal.

One plaintiff is a bisexual man who had been granted deferral of removal to The Gambia. DHS deported him to Ghana, which then sent him back to The Gambia.

this is acutely dangerous for the current national political context, because the ambiguity means that politicians can easily interpret to suit their own ends without being called out on it

internet culture desks aren't just for cute meme trend stories. ever since gamergate, understanding how and why info moves online is critical to seeing how we got *here*
National political reporters: consult your gaming desk. You likely have a massively blind spot — this isn’t a dig at anyone, because I have this blind spot too b/c I’m not a gamer and am trying to adjust for it in real time — covering this very important moment if u don’t game & don’t know the memes

Whether you call it an internet culture desk, a social media desk, a digital investigations desk, etc, today’s newsrooms lacking them operate as their own peril and risk obsolescence in the modern reporting environment, no longer informing the public with the necessary expertise.

I guess Trump really did think of Kirk like a member of his family.
Q: My condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk. How are you holding up?

TRUMP: I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years.

I was attacked this morning .. smeared in fact by Rep Walberg… who accused me of never speaking out about antisemitism…it’s not just a blatant lie… it’s being done to try to create fear- that educators don’t fight for our students to have safe & welcoming schools. Here’s my response:
Really @repwalberg? You think I - a Jewish American who has faced antisemitism and is married to a Rabbi - has never spoken out against antisemitism? The truth is, I consistently speak out against antisemitism. Here are just a few examples.
