Hello all, my big fat stupid motorcycle that I love has racked up a $2000 vet bill, but since FanFest season is rapidly approaching I figure I can cushion a bit of the blow by perhaps doing art for folks looking to get stickers & stuff made, I set up a commissions page over at ko-fi.com/coelasquid

12 years ago I got some dandelions and bluebonnets on my right shoulder to commemorate finishing TJ AND AMAL. Since then I've added (a) flower(s) for every comic project I've been proud of. Today the sleeve got finished.

Really enamored with this new project. It's gonna take several more months of research and interviews and outlining and more research before I can get it off the ground but I've been excited about it for 8 months already

Short hiatus for a bit. Stress on multiple fronts has me about to crack and I don’t need to be crashing out online. See you when it lets up a little.

Also who’s going to pay the bills while I take months to learn an entirely new workflow
respectfully, "why don't you use adobe alternative" is the equivalent of "why don't you just move"
artists know they have options, take a pause and ask if you're the one who isn't understanding the industry-wide infrastructure and the investment it takes to familiarize yourself with new programs

first zine in 2006, first self-published book in 2011, first commercially published book in 2015, went full time in 2017. Not sure which of these milestones counts
Comic people are posting how long they've been in comics. I'm at 37 years. Crazy.

Little Big Fat got super scared at adoption intake. Marvin did okay and AHS wanted to take him, but they really shouldn't be separated. Back to our house they go, and we're still looking for a home for them
