Can someone please explain why it is that too many politicians only seem to want the votes of the prejudiced and the ignorant? To the extent that they are actively repelling anyone capable of rational thought and decency. Why the pathetic need to appease the bigot vote, at everyone else’s expense?

I śaw this photo of an alligator (left) and a crocodile (right) and someone commented that they hate that the snouts are reversed. The alligator's forms a "C" while the crocodile's forms an "A." This will forever be how I remember how to distinguish between them.
