You’d have hoped that by now, the media wouldn’t take MPD’s word as gospel when they put out a press release.

CM Chavez continues to ask Chief O’Hara to provide specifics on the claims he made and continues to be met with silence.

Everyone in charge has said it was not an immigration operation but a criminal warrant.
I’m sorry, unless they just stopped 9/11 2.0 this was an insanely disproportionate response

The people, united, scared the everliving CRAP out of the jumped-up rent-a-cops of ICE.
now they are denying it was even an immigration action and acting like they didn't come with three massive armored vehicles and enough zip ties to make mass arrests.

get out there and make their job miserable. love to my minneapolis people who brought megaphones and stood out there in the rain.

I am at Bloomington and Lake to understand whats taking place this morning. On scene are DHS, ICE, FBI, Sheriffs, and MPD. No matter the reason, one thing is clear: this display of force is designed to strike fear at the very heart of MPLS. We stand in solidarity against it.

I would really like to know what Jacob Frey was doing today that he thought was more important than showing up for his city.
i saw so much leadership from the mayoral candidates on site. @omarfatehmn.com talking to an upset woman who saw agents take people away. @jazzformayor.bsky.social running around trying to deescalate. @dewayneforminneapolis.com checking on the person who was injured

no mayor frey

I think it’s very important to draw gay art and have gay sex right now. Give it a try, if you haven’t already. This is my advice for today.
