It’s not. The POV changes—it’s so subtle you barely notice it. But it changes more than once, when he bends his body over the hood, when it pans to the license plate, and when it moves to the wife. The sound also does not match smoothly during those transitions.

Thank you for saying this. I couldn’t put into words why I disliked the “say her name” part of the vigil and this was why. She won’t be erased from history but BIPOC regularly are. White ppl need to do better. Just because this method works for them doesn’t mean it’s appropriate for us.
“Say her name” is not about allyship. It’s a term crafted for people who are the focus of violence that deliberately erases us. It’s not for her, and it wouldn’t be for her, even if she were Heather Heyer, who didn’t get it when she died for civil rights. Can you understand that?
