If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Respect Alice Wong’s call here:
“When I am in public spaces and see most people unmasked either because they think the virus is a hoax, that masking is virtue signaling & a sign of weakness, aren't thinking about it, or that they simply don’t care, I feel like an expendable burden not worth saving.”

White supremacy is when Republican men and women in their 20s & 30s praising Hitler, genocide, and rape are “just kids”—but 18-year-old Michael Brown was no angel, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was a thug, 16-year-old Kalief Browder was a criminal, and 12-year-old Tamir Rice should’ve known better.😐

Fellow writers/authors . . . 👀 📚!!
Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

just realized that list of conditions for “severe covid risk” is now another source of grief. according to science, that means if you’re on that list, you should be masking. but folks who consider themselves healthy enough are only thinking about it in terms of vaccines

the thing mass shootings and the ongoing pandemic, as well as the surging and resurgent pathogens allowed for by MAHA austerity have in common is that shared public space becomes dangerous, the onus for safety placed on the individual.

we owe each other so much more than this systemic abandonment.

It would be a very good time to start masking unless you’re ok with small children dying for your convenience.

Clean air is a human right.

New England & Quebec, wear an n95 mask outside to stay safe from PM2.5 pollution. It causes heart & lung disease & premature death.

But the problem is global: 99% of humanity lives in places where air pollution exceeds WHO limits.
