She’s been fighting to be absolved of denying a marriage license to a gay couple

Today she lost her last shot at an appeal.

The Supreme Court denied her request to hear her case and ordered her to pay $360,000!

Yesterday I overheard a parent explaining to a child, probably 4 years old, how her words didn’t matter if they didn’t match her actions.

That’s all.
Shaheen: So let me be clear. No one in the senate chamber wants to extend the ACA tax credits more than I do.

Keep it up but maybe stop by the senate on your way out of the game to boo Dem senators who cave in exchange for… absolutely nothing for the people.
Trump just got massively booed and flipped off by the crowd at the Commanders game.

Caving now means they literally did it for nothing and caused harm to people for nothing. Just absolute failure on every level.

After Dems cave, republicans are gonna let ACA subsidies expire then blame the increase in people’s premiums on Dems and say it was because of the shutdown.

Why has the government been closed at all if Senate Dems cave now? Didn't they say that they could not go along with throwing millions of people off health care?

What's materially changed? A *promise* is not action. ALSO fascists lie and I've been told by some Senate Dems that the GOP is fascist.

Excellent info from Durham County health dept. nearly 6 years in, there’s no reason info about long covid shouldn’t be widespread from health depts, docs, hospital systems and beyond.

The fight for ACA subsidies is connected- more ppl need more care due to long covid, and Rs don’t wanna pay for it
Long COVID includes a wide range of symptoms and can affect anyone, no matter your age or other health conditions. Learn more, and prevent #LongCOVID by preventing COVID-19!

And you don’t have to say a lot. I’m asking my rep/senator to support this thing, or not support that thing, is really enough.
Sometimes people comment that they’ve never called a member of Congress and they are nervous about it.

I completely understand. My suggestion is to write down your thoughts first.

Then call and give them your name and zipcode, and immediately begin reading your statement all the way through.

Sitting through some terrible kid content this am that glorifies monarchy while an abusive monarch imprisons his wife.

And honestly not shocked about where we are politically.

It never ceases to amaze me what we accept as content for kids. So violent, so pro authoritarianism.

Democratic leaders who willingly look the other way (at best) or help facilitate (at worst) a genocide are not leaders who will defend democracy.

If your red line isn’t genocide, it certainly isn’t democracy.

Technology that kills is a violent flex to put alongside free speech + meritocracy

We need to organize against technofascists

I seem to remember whole congressional hearings about the terrible destructive force that is violence in video games and yet, there is a very strange quiet about an unregulated technology that coaches people to suicide.

Wow it seems like the same people who put out regressive gender policies and want women to not work outside the home are also assholes to women in the workplace.
Reporting this story, I heard near universal concern from Heritage staff of discrimination against unmarried women.

Then I obtained a letter to the Heritage board from anonymous staffers that alleged the same thing — and more.

Heritage is aware that alleged behavior could create legal trouble.
