The national incarceration rate of Native Americans is more than 2x that of white Americans. For Native youth, the confinement rate is approximately 3x that of white youth.

This is the legacy of centuries of oppression & theft from Native people.

The UVA "deal" might be the worst/most dangerous (so far). With the help of UVA's leadership, Trump coerced a leading U.S. university to foreswear all efforts (including 100% lawful measures) to achieve diversity.

A betrayal of our values.

no one involved in this case disputes DULF has saved many lives. shutting down initiatives to prevent consumption of poisoned drugs leads to more preventable deaths. sad to see the law used as a cudgel to justify killing people through government inaction & indifference
Founders of Vancouver’s Drug User Liberation Front Eris Nyx and Jeremy Kalinin have just been found guilty of drug trafficking.

Justice Murray rules CDSA exemption didn’t include procurement & distribution.

These are the kinds of investments we need. They provide both construction jobs and long term opportunities. When we invest in corporate infrastructure we lose control of any of the long term benefits.
As part of Budget 2025, the 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 will invest $51B over 10 years to revitalize infrastructure — hospitals, schools, roads, bridges, water and transit systems.

These investments will create jobs, grow our economy, and build a Canada strong. 🇨🇦
