Love my work laptop so much: shut down: turns the machine off, then it turns itself back on after a few minutes. Reboot: shuts off and stays off.

Lets face it, this is a good day for oil companies, businesses, and those in the oil sector. Its a bad day for the environment and for reconciliation with Indigenous nations whose lands this thing will go over. As Blanchet stated, this is the official end of Canada's climate commitments.

It's a strange way to go about building national unity—agreeing with Alberta what should be built in BC without talking to BC about it.

Can't imagine the federal government taking this approach to a project that went through Ontario or Quebec.

There really is no other way to interpret this other than: “Fuck the environment. Fuck the First Nations. Fuck climate change. Fuck the people negatively impacted by this. My banker buddies gotta get paid.”
In the face of global trade shifts and uncertainty, we’re working to build a stronger, more sustainable, more competitive, and more independent economy.

Canada’s MOU with Alberta will ensure we can advance that mission together.

My new toy arrived tonight, a Dingwall D-Roc Standard, all the way from Quebec.

It spent the past week on a truck so I don’t want to open it up until it can naturally warm up over the next day or so to minimize the risk of the wood getting warped. The wait is agonizing.

Vancouver's 2026 draft budget has PASSED.

Approved on a 7-4 vote on party lines, with ABC in favour and councillors Fry/Bligh/Orr/Maloney opposed.

Property tax freeze, $50 million more for VPD, and cuts to Arts, Culture, Planning and Sustainability departments, among others.

Full story to come.
