Couple of highlights from this week’s food: a carrot pie from B Dylan Hollis, and a pasta con ricotta (with brocc) from David Rocco. Both delightful, will absolutely make both again!

I'm so angry about the statement from Raya Golden on GRRM's website denying (or at least disclaiming knowing) that the illustrations for the 20th anniversary edition of A Feast For Crows were made with AI that I ran all of the images available though Hive Moderation's online AI content detector. 1/

Outside a hive city, an Eversor Assassin emerges from his drop pod to make his way to the target. Mudwalker, a walker platform for 'fishermen' to go hunting giant tardigrades. A hive worker on a quadbike speeds to, or perhaps from, her job. She seems to have heavy mining/cutting equipment with her. 12 Imperium Maledictum faction icons. And yes, those are more tardigrades, skewered and roasting in one of the merchant icons.

Memorial to the Fallen of the Battle of Auerswald - we see a statue of a solid stone plinth with 4 soldiers in various active poses, around a knight who is also ready to charge into battle against the same unseen foe. The Statue of Burgomeister Holger Rauck - this statue has no head, but there is a rather spectacular (actual, not part of the statue) turnip resting atop his shoulders. By the base, a one-legged beggar threatens a couple of rats. Von Plotzkanal’s Horological Tower - a scholar stands before this mechanical marvel of timekeeping. It shows signs of wear though. A little of the city can be seen in the background.

It's basically over for this party of 'heroes', on the cover art for the 40k ttrpg Wrath & Glory's Starter Set Skeletons! Armoured! And in a line! It's either a rather disturbing haunted house, or Berlin's Ausländerbehörde. A chilling, hostile place either way! A penitant human burdened with a shrine on his back. Honestly so far from the worst fate in 40k it's not even funny.

Leftovers are always fun. I had made too much black cardamom tomato rice and so I tried turning tonight’s dinner into okonomiyaki-inspired pancakes with steamed garlic brocc, cheese in between the pancakes, kimchi, pickled ginger, and sesame seeds. Mayo and sriracha drizzled.
Tasted very nice.

Hey Brits! I'm sure you've seen this, but quite a lot of us don't dig this move. I certainly don't.
Seems invasive and quite open to abuse (and hacking!), especially looking at the shower in power and the worse shower waiting in the wings. Yeesh.
