The "Crunchyroll Penitentiary" is arguably even worse than "Netflix Jail", too, because you can at least theoretically license the stuff Netflix has if you spend enough money, i.e. get released on bail.
Crunchyroll, though, offers no bail, & they don't even allow for parole, i.e. sublicensing!

We all rightly complain about "Netflix jail" when it comes to the odds of anime they've picked up getting HV releases, but there needs to be a bigger outcry against the expanding population of the Crunchyroll Penitentiary because the extent to which their HV output has dwindled is kinda inexcusable
