the Akira movie is better than the manga.
Both are excellent, but the movie compresses everything great about the manga into a tighter package, without losing anything of importance, or becoming repetitive. The manga doesn't provide more thematic depth or necessary exposition.

We need 26 and 52 episode seasons! We need a new generation of casting directors and voice direction to breathe life into dubs! We need more original series that aren't remakes of prior properties! We need fewer series every season or the bubble will pop!
