I always saw it as a release valve. Vulcans kinda forced a sharp biological/neurological advancement that their physiology didn't quite catch up with right away, resulting in a temporary neurochemical rebalance needing to occur every so often. In other words,

Ok BUT... if the seven year clock doesn't reset every time a Vulcan nuts, what is it that's happening every seven years that needs to be released if not sexual energy? If it's not alien blue balls, then what the hell is it? What is being satisfied by THIS sex that's not satisfied by normal sex?
That's how the current Strange New Worlds explained it. They can have sex normally, but the every seven years urge is a different thing that kills them if they don't fulfill it.

All aliens in STAR TREK seem to have species names that match their planet's name except Humans and Klingons (Earth and Kronos). Also you'd think at least one alien would be named something that sounds like an English curse word like THE FUCKOLIANS or THE SHITLORDS FROM PLANET PISSBATH

As a person who has never seen a single Bond film, I’m confused. Is the Daniel Craig Bond canonically the SAME Bond that went to the moon???
