I do think there’s a lot of weird self loathing around email jobs in general, which also leads to a shit ton of people who have what are obviously email jobs pretending they have something else.
I have yet to see a use of "Professional Managerial Class" that was not simply an effort to deproletarianize a subset of the proletariat and transform them into a sort of ersatz petit bourgeoisie without any of the self-direction or power that class enjoys

I do wonder whether US Jewish institutions have realized that their staunch commitment to Israel has diminished their chances of long term survival. How many young Jews will still feel comfortable in organizations that openly sought to punish pro-Palestinian speech and action?
