This is DNN. Now it's time for a check on the weather forecast here on Dystopian Network News.
Wind, cold temps can change the impact of tear gas and pepper balls, experts say
The chemicals stay closer to the ground and may become less effective, though using tear gas outdoors is questionable practice in any weather.

if we take it to be true that the tariffs are aimed at getting americans to buy US-made products, then what's the point of rolling them back when they become painful? the entire point is to cause financial pain to change consumer behavior. what's the strategy here?

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

Exactly.
why would someone spend millions on building a factory in the US under the presumption that US-made products will be protected if the protection comes and goes on a whim?

15 years ago, this story would have dominated coverage for weeks. There would have been congressional hearings, call for impeachment, media bringing in panels of experts drowning out all other news.

Today we call it Saturday.
"It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it." said one administration official.

How the Swiss convinced Trump to drop tariffs with gifts of a Rolex desk clock and a 1 kg gold bar.

A brilliant interview w/ philosopher Alberto Toscano on the social desires the far-right managed to exploit for its resurgence in the last decade & how the left can deal with them. Well worth autotranslating from Portuguese into whatever your language is, whether in the EU, the UK, or the USA.
Fascism is "a method of violence to break the backbone of the workers' movement...the autonomy of...workers, solidarity organizations...to make less state intervention possible...[it has] complex relationships w/ the idea of... economic freedom, freedom of property...& freedom to exploit, dominate"

Unlocking T cell power: Organelle dynamics are key to rapid T cell proliferation and tumor fight, reshaping cancer therapy! PMID:41068297, Nat Rev Immunol 2025, @NatRevImmunol https://doi.org/10.1038/s41577-025-01223-9 #Medsky #Pharmsky #RNA #ASHG #ESHG 🧪
Targeting organelle function in T cells for cancer immunotherapy | Nature Reviews Immunology
Organelles are the internal batteries, gears, actuators, 3D printers and transmitters that drive cell function. Their composition and activity vary between cell types depending on functional demands. In T cells, which are key mediators of immunosurveillance and tumour eradication, organelles are relatively few and function at basal levels when cells are at rest. However, upon activation, they increase in number and size and undergo extensive remodelling to support rapid proliferation, effector differentiation and adaptation to diverse microenvironments, including the tumour microenvironment, thereby enabling efficient clearance of target cells. In this Review, we provide an overview of recent advances in our understanding of how various organelles contribute to T cell-mediated antitumour immunity. We also discuss emerging strategies to modulate organelle functions — from organelle-targeted therapies and their use as cargo delivery systems to the transfer or transplantation of nati

That is literally the point of what they're doing. They want the masses to be un/under-educated.

This is not a sign of the times we're living in, it's a careful, coordinated attack. Do not forget that for one single moment.

Megyn Kelly is no different from Alex Jones.

Her current career is the inevitable result of catering to online trolls and various rightwing extremists who reject basic decency and morality because anything goes as long as you are opposed to the left and the establishment.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

Here’s that image with alt text.

Without it, blind & low-vision people are excluded from accessing what you post, since screen-readers generally cannot do images (even images of text).

Also, search & mute words cover alt text, so it lets people find or avoid your post if they want to.
