Ahhh, I watched this when it aired! It was amazing then and an unambiguous classic now. (Although it probably helps to have lived through the Reagan years.)

What a goddamn legend. Every big tough conservative masculinity guy has been crying about how terrifying cities are to live in for the past two years and now Trump wants to move back to NYC
Reporter to Trump: Would you feel comfortable living in NYC under a Mamdani mayoralty?

Trump: "I would. I really would. Especially after the meeting, absolutely."

Sad to hear about Mani’s passing. I know his work best through the Stone Roses’ phenomenal debut album, where his playing is as crucial as anything to the band’s iconic sound. R.I.P. www.latimes.com/entertainmen...

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Me: Do you know what an “amaryllis” is?

Wife: Oh! It's that animal that has scales on its back.

Me: You mean an armadillo?

Wife: Oops.
Today I bought some Harry & David pears & an amaryllis at Trader Joe’s for my mom, only to get home and discover that today she had also stopped at Trader Joe’s and bought Harry & David pears & an amaryllis for me.

Baffled by this review on OpenTable. It’s fine if you like the restaurant regardless, but this is not 5-star service.

Folks are always shocked to hear that, when I was a Taco Bell employee circa 1982, we cooked batches of refried beans from scratch (sacks of dried beans), sliced fresh tomatoes and lettuce, sliced black olives (from a can) and more — all right there in the back of the restaurant.
I love (especially common in the 80's and 90's) when the camera would pan over the supposed mis en place where the burgers and sandwiches were being prepared, featuring stacks of freshly cut cheese, crocks of sauce, heads of wet lettuce and tomatoes, etc

This allows Trump (via DOJ) to use taxpayer money to bribe eight GOP Senators. It's that simple, there's no other way to describe it.

And where's the compensation for people injured by the Trump admin's unlawful conduct through DHS & DOGE?

Take a bow, @schumer.senate.gov, you did this.

Like I needed another reason to avoid Target.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.
