Marjorie Taylor Greene has been disliked by the left for years and years and had never had to fear for her life. She's been disliked by the right for 1 day and now has to hire security.

Escalate: Democrats should announce that, going forward, for each week we are forced to endure this GOP shutdown they will reveal one more demand. Each demand should be universally popular, and fiscally neutral or positive. They should start with increased tax on billionaires to fund the ACA.

I want to explain a few things and then it might be clearer why UK trans people are upset.
In 2001 I married my wife, Sylvia.
In 2005 I started medical transition. (1/13)

I just like to post these data from time to time to puncture the mythological aura of mid 20th c protests. They were less popular than pretty much any 21st c mass action & people criticizing them used the same lines. Protest is about people coming together, shaping narratives, & building power.

TPM’s reporting about Peters was more accurate than his office’s statements to constituent callers, just to get a sense of how much Dems are outright at war with their own voters right now

I believe no one should be traveling to the U.S. right now, but an extra word of warning to those with disabilities or reliant on medications.

If you’re detained, you may not be able to access the care you need.

With my health I wouldn’t last 24 hours in a detention camp. Don’t risk it.

When you watch people chat online long enough, especially in bigger spaces with more context collapse and group mixing, it becomes clear quickly that many people simply don't know what the discussion is about. "So you hate waffles?" isn't just in disagreement. They're baffled. People can't read!

Lots of people coming around to the idea that what the US needs is Medicare for All (M4A).

As it happens, I figured out an implementation path to getting M4A in the US.

Want it? I want something in return.

So I wrote this, and it's the best thing I've ever written.

"We will resolve disputes in favor of protecting users as a whole."

That right there. That tells everyone how Trust & Safety is going to act, and it gives T&S profound latitude. They're not there to rules-lawyer or first-amendment.

As someone who has also had a spinal fusion operation (mine was cervical) and years of horrific pain, I think the x-ray photo on his profile is far more important in understanding the shooter's motivations for attacking a health insurance CEO than any retweeting activity or Goodreads reviews.
the person of interest in the shooting of the United CEO has been ID’d as Luigi Mangione, an Ivy League grad and fan of Breloom, the mushroom Pokémon.
