Jeanne Demessieux was the first woman organist ever offered a record contract. A virtuoso, she'd go on to record many works including her own. Like her contemporaries, she was fascinated Gregorian chant and adapting it to modern idioms, as she does here with Rorate Caeli (Drop Down, Heavenly Dew.)
