"Projection Edge" is about four souls who discover a wondrous cosmic plane beyond the world they know -- as well as dangers to the world they DO know!

Read it at: www.projectionedge.com or projectionedge.thecomicseries.com!

Or binge-read it all at comicfury.com/read/project...!
It's a bit weird listening to AT4W and hearing Linkara mention a webcomic contemporary. Most of the time I feel like a nobody but when I hear a name like that and think, "Oh I know him" I suddenly remember that once upon a time I was a regular at that party.

"Hi, Thomas! I'm your script for the next few comics. I know you were going to spend some downtime this afternoon working on thumbnails of me, but I thought I'd let you know my structure kind of sucks, even though you thought I was in the final draft. Well, gotta go! Best o' luck, brah!!"

In the mood to share some Magical PE Eamonn pics from @findingdeefish.bsky.social and @tabbiewolf.bluestripedboxers.com. I love both of these so much. Eamonn's story is very complicated but he does represent "hope" to me.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court denied an attempt to challenge Obergefell v. Hodges, the case affirming marriage equality nationwide.

Our freedom to marry remains the law of the land.

On a less histrionic note, I'm behind on the objective laid out below. AGAIN, what I thought was going to be simple ended up being more complicated (and wrist-killing) than I thought. It got to the point that, after dinner, I didn't have the energy to finish the pages off.

We'll see.

I just do not have spoons for the Murc's Law rageposting about an unwinnable situation. It may come to getting off of here for a week until things settle down. Which would suck because I want to prop up people's comics, but I can always retroactively do that.

Well well. I might actually get four pages done THIS week.

Mind you, it helps that I'm taking the afternoon off from work Tuesday to take Tim to the dentist, so that's some extra time.

But it helps too that these pages are primarily wacky and visual. Conversation pages are just... a chore.

Mamdani is going to implement Oh Sherrie law. You have to listen to Steve Perry sing over and over again.
Mamdani is going to implement Aria law. You will have your rights sung by an opera tenor.
Mamdani is going to implement Daria law or whatever.

So this scene consists of a monologue with some distinct and wild imagery. Now I'm not 100% sold on the text but I'm anxious to do the images right. So I'm drawing the panels with space for SOME text to be added later.

Yep. I'm Marvel-methoding this thing.

In general, though, it's Not Recommended.

It's kind of helpful right now when I'm indecisive about a layout and forced to bypass the thumbnail stage. Both sides of me can hunker down and get my Schick together.
One really cool thing about being the writer AND illustrator for a comic book is that the writer→illustrator feedback loop is fast and extremely efficient. The writer passes the script to the illustrator who begins laying out pages, which the writer can instantly see and have ideas about.

I've been informed it's Rupert Bear's 105th birthday, so have a bit of artwork where I annoy the heck out of him.

Massive brainburst: was "Assignment: Earth" Gene Roddenberry's take on Doctor Who? Gary Seven as the Doctor and Roberta Lincoln as the hapless companion?

I mean, integrated into typical sixties superspy stuff, but still...

Groucho wants all the pettings this morning. Meanwhile I'm trying to magically command that all supermarkets in the United States immediately carry $5 veggie and cheese pasties. I just can't multitask like this, is what I'm saying.
