It is hilarious how quickly Trump fell in love with the guy who, without a doubt, he will claim is the embodiment of pure evil within a few months
Trump frickin' loves this guy lmao

I know there are far more important things going on in the world today, but I am livid at how terrible the official Tetris iPhone app is. I just want to play Tetris! Let me pay you an annual subscription to play Tetris!

That feeling when you’re absolutely livid about the Democrats folding on the government shutdown, but also have a flight on Thursday and kinda wish this abject moral failure and cowardice would pick up the pace a little

There's a joke to be made somewhere around CNN claiming Mamdani was referring to his "Aunt Ifa" but I'm tired

Call me a tight ass, but I think we can disqualify anyone from political leadership if they espouse Nazi viewpoints, joke about being Nazi, or have Nazi tattoos. I don’t know the exact demographics, but I’m gonna wager there’s something like 200 million adults in the US who can pass this strict bar.

Truly one of the most deranged things I’ve ever seen in US politics
and another thing: he’s not mad. please don’t put it in the newspaper that he got mad.

It is a scandal totally unprecedented in history that the Vice President has shared a video depicting the President as king. It’s an obscene violation of every founding American principle.

And nothing will come of it. It makes me physically sick.

I’m extremely let down by the media’s whitewashing of genocide and fascism, but I also think our outrage over passive vs active voice is occasionally overstated. Does “children were pulled, crying, from their apartments” leave any real reader unclear on the ethics? (See also: “falsehood” vs “lie”.)

Anybody feel that Gmail’s spam filter heavily regressed this year? I’ve had so many false positives—emails from friends, newsletters I subscribe to, etc—and have had multiple friends miss my emails for the same reason.

I now routinely check my spam folder, which defeats the point of a spam folder!

It's sobering, in its way, to realize that there was truly nobody (save, perhaps, his children) who knew him that loved him as a man. He made himself into content, and he died as content, and his funeral is the most content of all. Soundbites to soundbites, bits to bits

One thing that makes the Kimmel suspension so absurd is that it isn't about offensive speech. This isn't "Will the ACLU defend Nazis?" or even "Are you allowed to speak ill of the dead?" It's a light criticism of conservative media and politicians. It's not even particularly interesting!

Anyone who has given a live demo will feel a bone-deep cringe of recognition. The awkward silence. Not only a bug, but a bug exposing how pre-staged this was (answering a question that hadn't been asked yet). Implausible attempts to blame it on "the WiFi", a trick as old as time. It hurts my soul.

I will never understand why “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is an argument that satisfies half the country. Rather than regulate mechanisms that facilitate harm, we should regulate…the problem of original sin? The evil that lies in the heart of man? That’s the more pragmatic take?
