I somehow had never heard Dancing In The Club before this moment, and now it’s pretty clearly my top song of the year

I’m genuinely shocked this was a college assignment rather than something turned in at a Christian middle school. And I say this as someone who churned out nearly identical shit on the Christian apologetics website I maintained in 7th grade.

Still in the running!

In A Lonely Place deserves top 10 billing at minimum. Still, a respectable list!

Do you actually not understand the difference between a primary and a general election?

Just scrolled through the comments, and YIKES. Such a nasty pile-on, in defense of a quirky movie, on a review that wasn’t particularly scathing! I have to assume there’s some celebrity worship at play here, summoning Elordi fans who have no interest in criticism?

Regardless, you deserve better.

I feel like this stems from the way lefty candidates (here and abroad) have been brought down by baseless claims of antisemitism in the past. The commentariat are so burned by that, now they’re digging in their heels for a guy with literal Nazi tatts. A crazy overcorrection!

It was much easier to make fun of “performative inclusivity” back when the dominant culture wasn’t “performative Nazism”

It comes up briefly in the movie!
