Maybe reincarnate the soul of James Bond in a car satnav driven by a nerdy 17 year old who has just passed his test. That would work

Two options:

(1) Just ignore it. Why do you need to do anything else?

(2) OK, but there *were* pieces, right? Bond of Frankenstein. Ralph Fiennes camping it up as Dr M.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Mark Urban, Lewis Goodall, and Jo Coburn pieces on BBC have been interesting. Would like to hear from Stephen Sackur though.
One small thought on Goodall piece. He writes about David Grossman not being around. I thought Grossman was the Newsnight US correspondent based in the US.

It's such a weird realisation that people hold unshakeable religious beliefs that don't need to be about gods and which they will still cling to in the face of completely undeniable facts contradicting it.

The point I made quoted here was not specific to this case but a general point about politicians at holyrood giving spurious justifications for not commenting on any case. I have made similar comments in the past but it was been picked up this time.

Looking forward to a bbc news report where the newsreader throws over to a bbc reporter who is standing outside the place the newsreader is saying that he or she is outside the BBC and had approached the BBC for comment and no one from the BBc was available before throwing back inside.

Happy to take over the BBC if requested. I pledge a third series of Tripods, to repeat the trouble at the top about Bucks Fizz, to bring back sketch comedy, to do more sitcoms, dramas that are not just about the polis, an arts review programme, and to end rolling news pointlessly filling time.

I have knowingly heard one Fleetwood mac thing, which was fhe grand prix music. I have no opinion on them as a band or group.
1) This is correct 2) IMO, the most reliable tell of how old someone is online is are they part of basically, the one ten-year cohort not to think Fleetwood Mac are a great band.

Was a pleasure to read this in draft. A fascinating look at an odd area of legislative practice. Charlie has a great eye for these wonderful topics. I learned a lot from it and have learned a lot from him. Recommended
My new article in Statute Law Review "Going beyond repeal: a preliminary exploration of ‘unenacting’ legislation” explores clauses of legislation deemed “never to have been enacted”. It was presented at the Commonwealth Association of Legislative Counsel conference in Belfast /1

Here's a law professor lamenting the fads in legal theory popular among law professors that become popular for a decade or two and then fade away— written in 1950. Specifically, it's Roscoe Pound, reflecting on trends since he became a lawyer in 1890.
