Today's Canadian parliamentary history - 9 February 1916: Senator Dandurand corrects a press report that the Senate did not meet in the afternoon due to there being only one mace for both Houses of Parliament in the aftermath of the great fire. Rather, senators were not summoned.

An editor's note in the February 8, 1978 Hansard records the ovation MP Claude Wagner received upon his return to the House after being away sick for some five months. Appointed to the Senate later in 1978, he passed in 1979. His son is the current Chief Justice, Richard Wagner.

Visited the 🇫🇷 train museum and learned about when the President of France fell out of a train window in just his pyjamas! He tried introducing himself as President to a worker who reportedly replied 'And I'm Napoleon'. There's even a song about the incident... The more you know!
