The idea is that white men today are unnaturally paying for the sins of the past. But the truth is that white men of the past, who faced an unnaturally cleared field, didn't have to pay natural costs of their present.

White men now have to compete with diverse voices. Nothing's been taken.

“Woke” is just being aware of these structures of power and authority and knowing that they are there to justify the abuse of others.

The “war on woke” is those the restoration of these structures for the purposes of abusing others.

There has long been enough evidence to indict and the slow release is intended to 1) further torment Epstein victims 2) get Americans used to child rape by elites 3) flaunt impunity, since there have been no meaningful consequences for perpetrators 4) arrive right when AI casts everything in doubt.

It's true that Garland did nothing about Trump and Epstein while being completely aware of the crimes. The crimes were public information! Garland was installed to protect the DOJ, which protects Trump and Epstein. It's explained in this free 2023 article. sarahkendzior.substack.com/p/servants-o...

The court document below is NOT new. I reprinted it in my 2020 book HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT when discussing Trump's history with Epstein. Others also covered it. It was publicly available. Garland of course knew too and protected Trump. And Dems protected and defended Garland. Why pretend otherwise?
Merrick Garland hid this from us for 4 YEARS,

and allowed this disgusting monster to be reelected

There is a genuine sadness to this era of tech. This IS the Rot Economy, and what you get when growth is all that matters. Every person defending LLMs is ultimately defending growth itself. It’s not about technology and hasn’t been for a long time. It’s about more things to sell and develop for.

Trump’s White House UFC fight is an elevation of brutality.

Fascism has appeal because its energies exist within all of us. We all have the capacity for hate and violence. What makes liberal democracy unique is how it asks us to transcend our basest selves.

If a key part of your job is getting information right and ferreting out falsehoods and untrustworthy sources, and the tool that’s supposed to help you do that keeps throwing you obvious errors, than yeah, you’re probably not going to *trust* it and may end up deciding it’s not all that useful.

suspect a big reason why many academics and others who work in areas where getting facts RIGHT is key are disinterested in using LLMs for research:

they’ve tried it, they keep noticing major errors in output, and they conclude that having to verify all that doesn’t actually save them time.

I knew as soon as Trump took over the Kennedy Center board that the writing was on the wall (figuratively) and the writing would soon be on the wall (literally): that Trump would rename the Kennedy Center after himself.

Here's what it looked like at 2:30 p.m. today from my car.

I was talking with an internet friend about surviving this moment.

And honestly, we're all the walking wounded, with or without the national and international crises.

We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).
