The cool part about The Onion in print is people leave them around coffee shops and workplaces. Kids steal them and bring them to school. I think about this a lot when it comes to 19th and 20th century figures. Which popular “geniuses” from American history would’ve been completely exposed as lunatics coasting on wealth and privilege if they were given a 24/7 way to communicate unfiltered with the world?

Dick would have said that you were being too bleak and unrealistic
