I started my first internship! First task: Make a prompt for our internal AI chatbot.
I can't say I'm thrilled. This isn't what I went to school for, and it's not what I wanted to get paid for.... but it'll help people. I have to keep reminding myself it's just a tool, and I'm helping people.

Felt super involved at school meeting with two committees this week! I'm on the student advisory council for my major's dean, I'm on a committee for improving college teaching, and I'm working with the school club people on collaborations between my tea club and other groups. I feel very connected ☺️

A different liquidator has won the auction, and they intend to close ALL of the stores, not just the 2/3 originally slated to close.
All stores will close by the end of May. 😞

I've seen at least two different people use ChatGPT to lookup how to take care of ANIMALS. NO! It's glorified autocorrect! It's not a search engine!!
GenAI isn't programmed to be accurate and check facts. More people need to realise it is NOT a search engine, it's a chat bot programmed to sound human through the statistical likelihood that words will appear in a certain order.
LLMs are not search engines. Do not use them for research.
