We are such angels: it's our first Christmas and Dougal has only stolen one bauble (and drunk the Christmas tree water); Suki has only nibbled the tree a few times (apparently trees indoors need this sort of pruning, while trees outside don't). We are definitely on Santa's nice list.

I am 60; 50 yrs ago, I was mainly playing & reading books, so yes I suppose it was better for me in that regard.

My brother had a 1965 Mini Cooper S in 1975.
Its consumption of 5 star lead packed petrol was so high, around 25 mpg, that it had to have an extra fuel tank on the other side of the car.

Late to the party here, having only just watched the John Lewis Xmas advert. Apparently, its ‘whiteness’ has been celebrated by the usual (awful) suspects. It strikes me that those people were amongst those critics of lack of men last year.

Here in the U.K. I was woken up in the early hours by fireworks. I was a bit mystified (Guy Fawkes being this evening and very much too early); I realise now that it was probably people staying up here to wait for results and then celebrating! 🎉 🎆🎇
