It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.

Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

Look this sucks but news outlets need to start realizing there's limited journalistic value in sitting in a room and letting a person behind a podium lie to you. You're not holding anyone to account when you do that.
The White House says it will bar the Associated Press from the Oval Office and Air Force One indefinitely due to the news outlet's use of Gulf of Mexico

And now consider that Trump knows the press thinks like this. Understands that the more he pushes on them, the more they think that backing down is strategic.

Think about how that might incentivize him. And consider how maybe the media not only aren’t being strategic but also enabling fascism.

Consider the possibility that Brian Stelter is a sniveling moral coward.
Consider the possibility that the Trump White House WANTS this fight. Wants journalists to act like opponents instead of observers. If the entire press pool skipped a Trump photo op in solidarity with The AP, wouldn't the White House welcome Breitbart and One America News to take their places?
And, are you or your colleagues boycotting covering the WH as a protest?

Today is not the day for me to hear from Brian Stelter about how very hard it is to be an establishment journalist for a major network in DC right now.

They may or may not be prepared for the fight, but what they WANT is for the media to submit to their demands as they are doing. Appeasement has never been an effective strategy.

If you’re gonna parrot the same BS that OAN and Brietbart would in your place, then you have gained nothing by choosing obedience instead of a fight.

You lose integrity. You lose credibility. You lose everything by choosing not to fight.

Yes, you have to be strategic, but journalists should be opponents to things that are clearly wrong. We can observe Trump ourselves. If that’s all you’re there for, we may as well watch Breitbart, because by capitulating you become indistinguishable anyway.

He had it right. Centuries ago (the press needs to get its shit together. Trump thrives on attention. You all have the upper hand. USE IT)

Yes, and that's fine. Because Trump needs to be revered. If he's not getting media stories about them he gets upset. Starve the narcissist of his fuel. Every legitimate outlet should just stop carrying his press conferences

babe you're getting demolished in the ratio, but i'm willing to consider the possibility if you can describe for me the specific line that, if crossed, requires a news organization to oppose a news source's interpretation of reality.

They’re going to humiliate the traditional press into compliance and then replace them with right wing publications anyway to humiliate them again. Better for the press to act with principle from the start and then keep it up.

George McCaskey is the problem, and any of this talk about firing Poles or hiring Ben Johnson or anything else is nothing but a time-wasting circle jerk.

#bears you can’t win this game or another game until this all changes. The curse of the McCaskey must be broken and that only starts with a change in ownership.

I know someone "personally" close to the Bear's ownership. He told me that even though Mike McCaskey is gone, the infighting and the interference between ownership and management is insane. Thinks things will not change until ownership does. he said that 15 years ago, so far so true.
