The Republican Party needs to be disbanded. There is no way to separate the corruption from what people argue is salvageable.
The follow list is amusing. Hope they notice ya, bud!

Civility is a cudgel to beat your sense of moral obligation and outrage into submission
I know there are some folks who say it’s crucial to be “civil” when discussing fellow physicians

But if those physicians are senior MAGA/MAHA actors in the Trump regime—a regime that’s terrorizing & killing people—& if the MDs are dismantling public health, which will kill kids, MUST we be civil?
“The “physicians” and other folks now running the CDC and FDA, as well as the constellation of various advisory panels and committees, are now openly saying that they will accept a world where more children die of preventable diseases in the name of their anti-vaccine crusades.”

That this turn surprised literally anyone is an absolutely damning indictment about how far right, and white supremacist main stream media has been for decades.

Conservative are 80 years into this project and media still won't say it plainly

Why do I feel like Melania made a call?
Well, there’s been one resignation by someone who appeared multiple times in the Epstein Files, just not in America. Former Slovakian Foreign Minister and adviser to PM Robert Fico Miroslav Lajcak has stepped down.

Mark is, according to his bio, a professor who specializes in inequities in society and networks.

Yet here he is defending his pal who took meetings and fundings from Epstein.

But… you’ll be relieved to know… his friend who was chummy with Epstein? Always seemed nice to Mark.
I feel like someone’s gotta say something, so I guess it’s going to be me. I’m 100% certain that I either know, have met, or have sought meetings with people who have done horrible things in their lives, too. How about y’all? Association is not causation, and it's not guilt — of anything. (1/8)

Amidst the noise, this is a 5 alarm fire.
The president of the United States had his DOJ raid the Fulton County election office and seized ballots. This is clearly a dry run for 2026. Yet, this is treated by too many in legacy media as normal.

Money money money it’s all this fucking country cares about. I’m not angry that people feel forced to play the game, I’m angry they’re so brainwashed they don’t feel dirty for doing so.

This is why I (and I’m sure most survivors) am not getting my hopes up about some societal sea change. I know how the people running things think. If they were inclined to be reflective and accept blame, they probably wouldn’t have been able to claw their way to the top of a corrupt pile.
I promise you, even if someone is your mentor and friend, you should have the ability to say they made a mistake in FUCKING COMMUNICATING CASUALLY AND ALL FRIENDLY WITH JEFFREY EPSTEIN NOT WRITE AN EIGHT POST THREAD ON HOW WE SHOULDNT JUDGE

No need to sync signal to anything but your phone. Don’t care how convenient it is for u

Check your signal call log which don’t auto delete

Check your signal chats because - idk why - sometimes things don’t actually delete that are on autodelete

No reason to do face or touch unlock on any device
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The problem is that a not insignificant portion of Americans would sign on for that. Maybe not explicitly, maybe not publicly, but I think the behavioural evidence is extremely clear that the median American will tolerate pretty severe corruption at baseline.
The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

This was sent the day after @rmac.bsky.social and @mattdrange.bsky.social reported in Forbes that Thiel was behind the lawsuit that would bankrupt Gawker

In December, I inspected the ICE facility in Burlington and demanded answers about the conditions the detainees were facing. ICE has not responded. We need transparency now. The inhumane conditions and actions of ICE in Massachusetts must end. I will not stop fighting.

A man walks into a bar and says, "Do you want to hear an ICE joke?"

"Sure", says the bartender. "First, you should know that I'm ICE, the guy in the corner is ICE, and so are those two wrestlers. Are you sure you still want to tell the joke?"

"Nevermind, I don't want to have to explain it 5 times"

Amen. “Stand together” is pretty much the whole prescription for dealing with this administration.
This is happening a lot to female journalists. So here is a modest proposal for the White House press corps: Stand together. No one should ask another question until the President answers the question that was ignored.
