Social democracy, love it — you know, I’m a very social person, people tell me all the time. And democracy, very big, lots of people talking about it

This will surely surprise most Americans today, but historians have recently discovered that before Donald Trump, it was actually incredibly rare for a president to demand the public execution of this political opponents and press critics.

say you believe there's a finite timeline for your tech to cure all cancer. if you're not willing to lose some profit in order to shrink that timeline.. YOUR position on your OWN behavior, if you're being consistent, is that you are CHOOSING to kill men, women and children for money

Sweet, I can finally automate all that pesky videogaming that I do and get back to my job, which AI is too inaccurate to do right

Jesus said that it’s better “if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea” than to harm a child/push them to sin (Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭2‬)

As a Christian, I call upon the “christian nationalists” in Congress to follow Christ’s teachings & protect children from our pedo President

sometimes i feel like the republican party is a big tornado that is coming to kill me. and the democratic party is the rickety shed that i'm hiding in. and i say "we should really fix this shed, because it's not doing much." and people say "what? why aren't you criticizing the tornado instead?!"

They understand. The problem isn’t awareness. It’s allegiance: the voters who elected them, or the donors who own them?
Guess these folks really don’t understand that we’re fighting a fascist regime.

I think democrats should push for a thorough review of all Elon Musk govt contracts as part of their 2026-8 portfolio. Why are taxpayers financing the work of a racist near-trillionaire? Leaving that unexamined was one of the biggest failures of the last Dem majority.

Zohran won! Two jokes to celebrate:
I hope his lack of experience in sexual harassment won’t hold him back
Time for all the people that said they would move if he won to get out! Prices will go dow, then I can move there and get free child care!

In the past 24 hours Elon Musk has sent 9 tweets either endorsing Andrew Cuomo, attacking Zohran Mamdani, or going after the voting process as a whole — and he's retweeted many more along the same lines.

Billionaire wealth and power are a threat to the democratic process.

I only watched the 2nd half, but wirtz playing as more as a narrow LW or second striker, back to our usual midfield 3, LB overlapping outside (which I believe Kerkez can do as well) really all makes the team look so much more cohesive. It was like every good idea for a change done at once
What a difference Robbo and a fit Bradley make to how we play. Our fullbacks still make us tick.

dissatisfied by the New York Times coverage of Zohran Mamdani?

great news! I talked to the guy Thursday about his campaign’s success at bringing community together beyond this election, and contextualized how it’s potentially shifted youth engagement with politics by simply listening @teenvogue.com
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”
