Fly along the San Andreas Fault in Southern California from the Cajon pass to Palmdale.
Faults are rarely one single fault strand; they are often broad areas of deformation called fault zones.
Lots of critical infrastructure like highways, powerlines, and railroads cross the San Andreas Fault.

Before there was Veterans Day, there was Armistice Day. We shouldn't have changed it. When we rattle sabers and hold human life cheaply, I think about this dedication from my Great Grandfather's WWI unit history. Armistice Day was as much of a warning as it was a celebration.

About a quarter millennium ago, some folks got so pissed off about taxes on tea, they did a direct action far more extreme than Antifa could dream of.
I’m not even Italian but I will fight a bitch for my pasta.

I can’t believe someone just argued with me about the importance of pasta.
No American pasta isn’t just as good as Italian and no it’s not no big deal that the president once again is going after the food supply chain and removing more choices from US shelves.
I almost took my earrings off.

“Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” hits #1 today in 1973 — a lyric Bernie Taupin wrote when he was “starting to feel a little bit lost in the whole circus” of fame.
“It’s an allegory, really — the idea of getting back to the farm .. but it’s also me saying to Elton and the world, ‘This isn’t who I am.’”
