I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

This is what I try to always tell people: food banks can do way more with your money than you can, due to bulk buying deals. And they can do way, way more with your money than with the canned goods you didn’t want to eat
spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

Opinion | Eight Democratic senators just sold their constituents out for nothing more than a pat on the head from Joe Scarborough. Even Judas asked for 50 pieces of silver.

There’s only one way to explain why questions like “who do NYC voters like for mayor,” and “what do San Franciscans think about George Washington,” become national issues that define the Democratic Party, while genuine Republican extremism with national implications is glossed over as a local issue.
The whole state of Idaho banning all vaccine mandates should be bigger news! If you want your grandmother's nursing home or your daughter's day care to require nurses and teachers to vaccinate, you literally can't! None of them are allowed to require that.

If someone’s not mourning the death of Dick Cheney in a manner that’s consistent with your views, make sure you set up a database, call their employer, and get them fired.

SNAP benefits increased under Biden, not because an abnormally large number of recipients were added, but because the admin increased the per person allotment under the Thrifty Food Plan from an average of $4.80 /day to $6.20 /day. The most recent prior cost of living evaluation occurred in 2006.

It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

A key reason why it’s been so awful to see fascists destroying the FAA is that aviation safety regulators have historically been *extremely good* at avoiding the dangerous human fallacy of “this bad thing hasn’t happened yet, it’s just nearly happened, so it’s totally safe to keep doing it”
“an airplane hasn’t crashed YET as a result of a laser pointer blinding the pilot, just NEARLY crashed, so it’s actually not dangerous to shine lasers at airplanes and all global aviation authorities are overreacting cowards” is real logic I’ve seen from alleged adults on here
