A thing I think it’s important for USians not in currently-occupied cities to grasp is that the normal and everyday goes on alongside the violent and unprecedented.

Does anyone actually have experience with medical tourism? I assume I can't just take my children to the closest urgent care in Canada/Mexico and ask for a COVID vaccine to go, but I also don't really want them to die just because the plurality of this country is pro-eugenics...

This is extraordinary. The Secretary of Homeland Security doesn’t know what the right of habeas corpus is (the ancient right to go to court to challenge government detention) and offers an incoherent definition which suggests she thinks it’s a presidential power to deport people?
