This is a really neat paper highlighting how urban juncos have different beak shapes from their wild counterparts and that urban birds’ beaks reverted to the “wild” shape during COVID lockdowns on the UCLA campus. 🪶

Actually, it really matters whether your electeds are progressive. We are often frustrated on the left at what electeds can deliver, but we have to remember moments like this. Paul Vallas would NOT have created ICE free zones.

Pro-tip: if you have video of you or others directly intervening to obstruct ICE or de-arrest someone, for god’s sake don’t post it on social media. Or at a minimum blur faces first. You’re just begging for federal charges.
