Love that Pitchfork picked Los Thuthanaka for album of the year. Was delighted to see them live at Le Guess Who last month and solidified it as one of my favourite albums this year

My one hope with Metroid Prime 4's companions is that they're only along for short periods - e.g. one of your goals is finding them and getting them to a safe hub (during which they assist you). Once at the hub they'll remain there for the rest of the game.

So Mubi picked it up for other territories and Criterion has it for the US, but like is this going to be available in the UK at all?

In February, @subpop.bsky.social came to me with an idea that I found hard to resist: @clppng.bsky.social wanted to play the Tiny Desk, like, ON the actual desk... with MIDI-controlled robots striking coffee mugs and shaking paper clips.

It's finally here.

A really solid week of movies with the last couple of films I caught at London Film Festival - Sholay in particular was great fun. Fantastic restoration that really deserved that IMAX screening #LastFourWatched

Whilst the Springsteen biopic was a bit of a disappointment, London Film Festival has been treating me very well.

RIP to inspirational movie poster legend, Drew Struzan. Everything he put his pen to ended up being some canonical representation of a movie we now love. Often, the posters are more famous than the movies themselves. Poster auteurism!

We love these unused Struzan designs for Back to the Future.

Started strong at London Film Festival with Resurrection, Bi Gan’s latest film. He continues to just make absolutely stunning films. Some of the most beautiful images I’ve seen and an incredible single take near the end of the film as well #LFF

in addition to being a humiliating flop, this moment is yet another baffling example of tech companies trying to market an AI tool that doesn't fulfill any meaningful purpose. this guy just needs a RECIPE BOOK. or, like, a tiktok.

I thought the whole argument for voting for Labour (I didn't) was keeping the Tories out. Certainly doesn't seem like thats happened.

With Shinobi getting great reviews and Silksong out soon I think I'm just going to play 2D action games for the rest of the year - oh and I still need to play Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

quite something that sally rooney vows to support palestine action with her money and suddenly she shouldn't have a career, while jk rowling vows to continue persecuting trans people with her immense wealth and gets a brand new hundreds of millions television adaptation of her naff wizard books
Perhaps, one day, schoolkids will study this squalid little chapter in British terror-panic history. When they do, I hope these two headlines from today are printed side by side, with clear annotation of which individual faced more outrage and condemnation.
