we are going to win
Today there was an attempted ICE raid in Bensonhurst & community members showed up. Even though NYPD collaborated with ICE by trying to disburse the crowd; community members stood their ground & ICE left without kidnapping a single person per the rapid response groups I'm on. We protect us!

IDK if others clocked this (I was out of town) but the Seattle City Council voted last week to force the incoming Wilson Administration to spend $30 million on the encampment-sweeping "Unified Care Team" next year. This is a top priority for the current mayor, who just lost to Katie Wilson.

It's hard to express what it meant to watch Maurice, Natalia, Celeste, and Rhea tell their stories—in their own voices—this morning.

The segment revealed a brutal reality: homelessness at this scale isn't about personal failure. It's the result of policy choices and systems built to exploit people.

A number of people equal to the population of Taiwan get their insurance from ACA exchanges.

The fallout from this week's "let them eat cake" capitulation will rock these families financially.

It's another brick in the wall of unaffordability and soaring costs.

I am sure it would be news to Donald Trump, but child molesters are not likely to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Interesting. Why would he not want to engage with the press like he usually does? 🤔

Amazon gets $15.7B. That could lower ACA premiums for 2.4 million people.

Microsoft gets $12.5B. That could cover Medicaid for 3.8 million children.

ICE vehicles waste a whopping 80% of the energy in their fuel. Electric vehicles are propelled by entirely different mechanisms. Energy enters the vehicle as electricity, which directly powers the drivetrain: EVs need not convert one form of energy to another resulting in much higher efficiency.
