TAPPER: You're imposing a 10% on the Heard and MccDonald islands. They have zero human inhabitants. Why are you putting tariffs on islands entirely populated by penguins?

ROLLINS: Whatever. Listen, the people leading this are serious, intentional, patriotic, the smartest I've ever worked with.

Trump's treasury secretary is looking to exit fhe administration after concerns the tariff debacle is damaging his credibility.

I wouldn’t let anyone who supported this tariff plan manage the finances of a taco truck after this let alone any major business or government position.

Hey, I wonder if there's any economic news today. I'll check out the website of America's biggest news network--Fox! Phew. Nothing's up! Biggest news in US today is a very nice Christian woman was slapped for no reason after sticking a camera in a stranger's face & calling her a baby killer.

🚨UPDATE: Rümeysa Öztürk has now suffered three separate asthma attacks while in DHS custody.

She has not received her required asthma medications—a violation of her fundamental right to medical care.

This is cruelty, it is neglect, and it is a damning moral and legal failure.

I called my senators today and told them I want Cory Booker to be the senate minority leader.

We can’t hold hearings. We don’t have subpoena power. We can’t pass budgets. But we CAN filibuster, and we CAN change party leadership.

It's 25th ammendment o'clock.

These are the mental dribblings of an unsound mind driven mad by power and rage.

This is the whipping of the sea. This is the sound of fiddles and flames around us.

BREAKING: I'm placing a hold on President Trump's nominee for U.S. Attorney in DC.

For the past few weeks, Ed Martin has been a one-man wrecking ball. Threatening political opponents, firing public servants, and using his office to chill free speech.

His nomination must be blocked.

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

Yes, tariffs are a tax, but people don't mention often enough that they are a regressive tax. Taxes on consumer goods tax the poor at a higher rate, as basic necessities are a much larger part of their spending.

If food goes up by 20%, it is a tax on the poor. Rich people won't even notice.

There are RULES for gov’t documents—who has them, sees them, keeps them, where they’re kept—because they’re a record of gov’t business.

Not open to all—but containing the doings & ACCOUNTABILITY of what our gov’t does.

The Nat’l Archives stores much of that vital data.

DJT fired the archivist.
