In the 1800s, a slave owner purchased over a dozen people in Georgia and set the foundation for his family’s generational wealth

Generations later, a railroad company owned by one of his descendants is using eminent domain to seize land of Black farmers

The drunk uncle theory.

You don’t argue with the casually homophobic uncle at Thanksgiving dinner to change his mind; you argue so that the closeted cousin at the kids table knows there’s safe people and better possibilities out there
agree with this (hah) but also think a particular mistake the left made for a long time online, and still makes to an extent, is failing to understand that the person whose mind you may actually change is the one reading the argument you're having, not the one you're arguing with
The secret to engaging in social media debate is knowing you will never win anyone over. The best you can hope for is to have people who already agree with tell you you're awesome. You might great a dopamine thrill from the righteousness of your anger! Fine benefits, all. But you will never win.

My thoughts on Stephen A Smith potentially running for president are:

Could we please stop fucking electing celebrities and get back to the business of running the country with boring people who just want to do a good job.

Thanks

I and millions of Americans believe exactly the same thing Kasparov does.

Too many troops, too many new prisons, too much money not under Congressional supervision.

We're not just witnessing a mass deportation scheme anymore.

This is something significantly bigger and scarier.

(🚨) This is a personal investigation—after finding my name multiple times in the Epstein Files—that transformed into a novella. It changes how we must see the Trump-Epstein Scandal. It’s long, fully sourced, and harrowing.

And it goes places you’d never guess.
Jeffrey Epstein Was Obsessed With My Tweets Just Before His Death—And Now I Know Why
The new Epstein Files drop reveals that just weeks before the arrest that would lead to his death, Epstein was focused on the thesis of my 2019 bestseller, Proof of Conspiracy. The reason shocked me.

This is NOT a blaming statement. It's a request for reflection.

Consider if you were one of the folks who told others that "Abolish ICE" was an extremist position five to 8 years ago, and that the people who called to Abolish ICE are the same trying to warn about other impending catastrophes.

Fascism is anti-human.

It requires the complete abdication of your ethics, morals and values.

The death of your soul.

This is the price.

Never in my most cynical dreams did I imagine so many people willing to sell out their own country for money, attention, clout, out of spite, ignorance or hate.

That will remain the most heartbreaking part of this ordeal.

America is such a beautiful idea.

We are becoming unworthy of it.

Dr. King did amazing things, but often we only talk about his successes. Dr. King also had some "failures", and they are important to discuss because we often learn a great deal from failure. And failure can inform or grow a movement, like Albany, Georgia's failure did for Dr. King. /1
