It's insane to have elected officials who care more about making up lies to defend their own bad behavior. They can't be bothered to listen to Portlanders bc it interrupts their happy hour. They eat during meetings instead of listening to people providing public testimony for 130k a year.
I think it’s honestly disgusting and deeply unserious that the Revoke the Permit people have clipped videos of my women colleagues eating pizza at the dais as some kind of shaming tool, which is now being used by right-wing media to harass them in misogynistic ways. Congrats everyone.

As a 7th generation Mexican American I feel an urgent need to reclaim my Mexican citizenship.
I'm the only one in my family who isn't MAGA but I am concerned that if any of them ever do 'wake up' it would be too late for them. This way, I at least have a path partially laid out for them.

I'm fully on board with setting up Sunday sit-ins that will help connect people in the community with other groups- not just political ones, victory gardens, and craft groups too. Community is our way out and all it's forms are resistance 💪🏼 Let's gather together, learn, and meet our neighbors.
I really like the idea of a Sunday Sit-In. Make it a regular thing? There's plenty to talk about every week and it felt like a very approachable forum. @booker.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social , well done today. Thanks for being willing to be adaptive and try new things and take risks.
