There is a way in which a fish swimming around in a fishbowl knows nothing about water. It is so immersed in water that it can't really "see" it. If you want the fish to really understand water, you have to take the fish out of the bowl and say "Look, that's water".
Right.
On Veterans Day we honor those courageous men and women who answered the call and swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution 🙏

It is way past time to do something about this.
Average healthcare costs in the US:
Giving birth? $18,000
Cancer treatment? $150,000
One month ICU stay? Between 30k and 150k.
That’s not including copays, deductibles, interest and all the other hoops you have to jump through.
Cost in Canada? $0.
Cost in the UK? $0.
Cost in Australia? $0.

You can't get much clearer than this.
Meanwhile, CEOs make 280 times the typical worker today.
The system is rigged.

Stop giving your money to the 1%. Make a plan to cut back this year, spending no more than 1/2 what you spent last year (if you can even afford that!). And spend it in the right places. Make memories, not millionaires.
Consumer sentiment is the lowest it's been since the 1980s, according to the National Retail Federation, but disposable income remains high.

Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Right.
Mamdani got a humanities degree.
His win helps to illustrate that one of the central forces driving higher ed’s dissolution of the humanities is the fear that teaching people how power works can also lead to their interest in seizing it on behalf of the less powerful.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.
The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.
They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.
